There’s a New Fire Phone app from Skype for Amazon
The news today is that there new app in the pipeline for the brand new Fire Phone by Skype for Amazon. Here at Skype Login we have come to expect this, as cross-platform support is necessary for any messaging app to succeed in the market place, with competition from Whatsapp and other contenders.
This is a completely new app, not Skype for Android app, or the other apps developed for the other Amazon products, the Kindle Fire HD and HDX tablets. This new Fire Phone app fully utilises the handset’s unique home screen, giving the user a drop-down widget that shows recent conversations, calls, contacts and notifications. If you swipe the screen horizontally until you see the Skype app in it’s Carousel, then the widget should will appear automatically.
Skype says its new application is also enhanced to take advantage of the Fire phone user experience. To be consistent with the Fire Phone look and feel the icon and notification badge will use ‘Dynamic Perspective’ which is Amazon’s unique camera setup that makes on-screen content appear 3D. This is a great gimmick and a wow factor for new the handset owners.
Skype also add that the new app will come pre-installed on the Fire Phone, which makes sense as it really is device specific.
